I just finished my first sock! And it fits! It's from Teach Yourself Visually Sock Knitting. It's the "Basic Top Down Sock Pattern", and it's got boo boos but it fits! And it feels mahvelous! And I did the Kitchener Stitch toe and it wasn't nearly as hard as I'd seen all over the net. I cannot recommend this book enough for the beginning sock knitter. And, just for the helluv it? I think I'll do it again!

  1. Congratulations!

Kitchener is easy. Intimidating at first, and I had to watch a youtube video to even get it down, because the written instructions made NO SENSE AT ALL, but once I did, it was like, ok, no prob.

    So, yay!

  3. (Sorry about the first one, messed it up. ^_^;)

Sweet! That first one is always scary. And then there's that moment of, "But... She did it!" And then there's the cryptic writing in the patterns... The confusing symbols! SSK...K2tog...But then, triumph! Another one bites the dust!

    So congratulations! :D

    Love!
